Dr. Welter earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in rehabilitation medicine at the University of Wisconsin. As a board-certified physiatrist, she has remained active in her education and continues to conduct musculoskeletal research. She has also served as the physician director for US Figure Skating. Dr. Welter is passionate about all aspects of her patients’ care, with a focus on empowering injured individuals to mend themselves. At AOS, she offers non-surgical options to serve patients’ musculoskeletal needs. Dr. Welter provides comprehensive evaluation of musculoskeletal injuries, including electrodiagnostic studies (EMGs). When necessary, she gives therapeutic and diagnostic injections under fluoroscopy to alleviate pain and increase function. In addition, Dr. Welter practices occupational medicine and performs impairment ratings. She will also be working with the new Cache Valley Specialty Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program.
